Death, let it enter a family as it may and many bitter pangs of sorrow is felt, Martha Jane Fouts has been a sufferer for a long time with that dreaded disease consumption, the most skilled physicians failing to relieve her of her pains and on Thursday, Oct 18, 1888 her spirit passed to that beautiful home prepared for the righteous. She joined the Baptist Church about two years ago and has ever since lived what she professed. She was born Dec 18, 1865 and was married to John Fouts Jan 15, 1888. Te funeral was preached by Rev. Fuson in the Baptist Church Friday. Thus ends another young life when but married a short time leaves husband, father, mother, brothers and sisters. Her pains are now o'er and she quietly sleeps in the areas of her blessed Master. -- kbz
